Self-Negotiated Project
Project title: Old Technology With A Modern Vibe
the theme of my self-negotiated project is film cameras and old technology but with a modern twist of bright vibrant complementary colours. i very much enjoy film cameras, how they work and look. so i wanted my project to center around them while also using a vibrant colour scheme which is inspired buy artists such as Micheal Craig-Martin, Lobo, Romero Britto.

the subject of the painting is myself however I pained myself in bright complementary colours orange and blue. painting on vinyl was very different than I anticipated they paint dried very quick and didn't show up good to combat this I laid a layer of white acrylic paint down thirst this let me blend easier and made the colour stand out .

the subject of the painting is my boyfriend however I pained him in bright complementary colours green and pink.
I really enjoyed working on this material however.

I decided to take both of the subjects i painted for the vinyl records and paint them large scale while still keeping the colour scheme of the bright complementary colours on a canvas i stretched myself a the canvas making workshop.
